This scenario listing is for the Sega Saturn and Sony Playstation releases.

Scenario 1: Flight from Baldea

Since ancient times, the holy sword Langrisser has been said to give its wielder unlimited power.

To obtain the sword, which lay under the protection of the Baldea royal family, Kaiser Digos of the Dalsis Empire encircled Baldea castle with several large platoons.

The magic of Digos' court magician dyed the castle red with blood.

Victory Condition:

  • Ledin reaches Narm
  • Defeat of all enemies

Failure Conditions:

  • Death of Ledin
  • Death of Narm

Scenario 2: To Salrath

The young prince Ledin and Volkoff escaped from the castle under, guided by Narm's troops.

While on the road to Salrath, Ledin met a young priestess named Chris. He decided to protect her on her journey there.

However, a band of thieves had set their sights on the small group…

Victory Condition:

  • Chris escapes to the gates in the upper-left of the map
  • Defeat of all enemies

Scenario 3: Ambush!

In Salrath, Hawking was briefed on what had occurred in Baldea as he and Ledin rested in the inn.

But the night's tranquility was disrupted as the thieves began an ambush.

Chris awoke Ledin as the attack began.

Rousing his old sword master, the two set out to defend the town.

Victory Condition:

Scenario 4: The Forest of Death

After driving out the bandits, Narm arrived bearing news of Baldea's fall.

To return to Baldea castle, Ledin decided to cross the Forest of Death, inhabited by Gels and Ghosts.

Victory Condition:

Scenario 5: The Imperial Guards

Chris and Thorn came from Salrath to help Ledin cross the Forest of Death.

But a detachment of the imperial knights were waiting for them just beyond the forest.

The captain of the Dalsis Imperial Guards, Lance Kalxath, the Black Knight, had been expecting them.

The battle of two fated rivals has begun.

Victory Condition:

Scenario 6: Battle at Baldea Castle

Though they defeated Lance and the imperial guards, Volkoff was killed by a poison arrow.

After recovering from the sadness of his death, the company finally arrived at Baldea Castle.

However, the great general of the Dalsis Empire, Xeld, had already positioned his forces around the perimeter to meet them.

Victory Condition:

  • Defeat of Xeld, the occupation army commander.

Failure Conditions:

  • Death of Ledin

Scenario 7: Hero of the Fortress

Baldea castle was finally reclaimed. Though Jessica and Taylor, who had been imprisoned, were freed, Langrisser had been taken.

There was little time to celebrate though, as a soldier arrived bearing news that Anzel Fortress had fallen under Dalsis attack.

Victory Condition:

  • Defeat of Bernoulli

Failure Conditions:

  • Death of Ledin
  • Death of Albert

Scenario 8: Pursuit

Ledin succeeded at driving Lance from Anzel Fortress and protecting Albert.

After the battle, Albert chose to join Ledin in his fight, and thus the entourage grew one man stronger.

Commander Zaldaff, of the Dalshis army, retreated to meet up with their other forces.

Seeing this as an opportunity, Ledin began a hot pursuit of the enemy.

Victory Condition:

  • Defeat of Lord Zaldaff

Failure Conditions:

Scenario 9: The Warl's Rapids

To thwart Ledin's strike, the enemy took a defensive position on the Warl which utilized its fast currents.

Since Langrisser was taken, a mysterious monster has appeared.

Ledin fights on undeterred, determined to break through.

Scenario 10: Castle by the Lake

Continuing their march, the Baldean troops surrounded the castle on Lake Valk, defended by Kirchner.

If they can breach these walls, Castle Dalsis will be in sight.

Scenario 11: Castle Dalsis

Ledin and company were able to capture Lake Valk. Furthermore, Lord Hawking led an army from Salrath to join their forces in the fight.

After careful preparation, the Baldean troops have encircled Dalsis Castle for a final showdown with Kaiser Digos.

Scenario 13: The Village of Stone

Though Digos was defeated, a new battle has begun.

Ledin and company discover a village that has been turned to stone by the powers of darkness.

Scenario 14: Wolf Pack

After rescuing Lance from the curse of stone, he agreed to help Ledin to reseal the evil.

The town they now approach has become the victim of a predatory pack of werewolves.

The pack seems to be commanded by a man controlling an evil aura.

Their new battle has already begun…

Scenario 15: Cry of the Dark Dragon

Like a chorus of evil, demons began appearing one after another in the land.

An evil dragon, one of the strongest of all demons, appeared before Ledin seeking to take Langrisser.

To save the people of the village, Ledin engaged in a desperate fight.

Scenario 16: In the Deepest Black

After an extreme battle, Ledin succeeded in repelling the demonic dragon.

However, the dragon was yet undefeated. Having sustained serious injury, it retreated to a cave.

Ledin and company have formed a line in the valley where the beast's cave lies.

It is said that within lies the Dragon Slayer, a sword used by a hero to slay the beast in ancient times…

Scenario 18: Within the Ruins

Finally, Ledin and company have penetrated Velzeria.

Amazingly enough, ruins of the ancient battle of light and dark still dot the cursed land.

Through the dark magic of Nicolis, Nagya, who had been defeated, appeared before them once again.

Scenario 20: Seal of Evil

After the defeat of Nicolis, Ledin and the descendants of light struggled onward to the deepest point of the temple.

However, the ceremony to revive the god of darkness and death, Chaos, had already begun.

Now, in this ancient temple of darkness, the last battle between the descendants of light and the children of darkness has begun.
